Today is my first day working inside the library. I've got some pretty neat ideas about how I hope to arrange the space. I am excited about making the library a little brighter by adding some color and by removing the old TV in the back to open the window coverings, allowing more light to shine through! I also hope to create little "communities" inside the library. I am still brainstorming it out, but so far I am thinking about a Dr. Seuss community, a rain forest community, and a Minecraft (Yep! Minecraft, complete with Steve and Creepers) community. I want to collaborate with some teachers that have been a while before setting my plans in stone, but I will keep you posted! :)
I am going to add some before pictures to this post! I know that I have a long road ahead of me, but I cant wait to show you guys the final product!

Welcome to the library blog!
Hi and welcome! My name is Mrs. Wantz and this is my first year as a librarian! I am very excited to be here at BCES and cant wait to get busy in the library and meet all of my wonderful students!
I previously taught 1st grade at MVES and 3rd grade at RES. I have lived in Jacksonville for almost 5 years, and absolutely love the local community! Speaking of community, I have decided to create this blog so that the community could stay abreast of all the cool things that will be taking place in our library this year! Throughout this school year, I will be posting some pics and information about the fun activities that are happening in the BCES library so make sure you check back often! Here's to a great year!
