Teaching my Kindies how to Browse for Books! :)

All of our Kindergarten students are officially checking out books from the shelves now!  I am so proud of their hard work!  They are making sure they browse quickly, quietly, and carefully!  Love seeing them in action!!

NCCBA Titles to BEAT!

We are excitedly reading through our 12 North Carolina Children's Book Award (NCCBA) nominees!  So far, the top two titles selected as absolute favorites by the students are The Dark by Lemony Snicket and The Day the Crayons Quit! by Drew Daywalt!  I have enjoyed both books, but it's a tough call as to which one will come on top....or....will they lose their "Top Title Rating" as we continue to read through other nominees??!
