Book Fair Is HERE!!!

WELCOME TO THE SPRING BOOK FAIR!  Don't forget to swing by with your parents next week during our spring open house event!  We have lots of great selections this year, including the new Tombquest as well as the new Plants vs. Aliens, and the ever popular Owl Diaries among many more titles!  See you at the book fair!

Oration Contest

We've been working hard on our speeches, and have put together some very interesting information on different landmarks located around the world!  Super proud of all these students for their dedication and commitment to learning and excellence!  Special shout out of congratulations to our three winners:  Anna Ford, Ian Lehman, and Vanessa Bailey!   You guys ROCK!!

NCCBA Voting

Don't forget to come by and cast your votes for your favorite book!  The book with the most votes in North Carolina *(out of all participating public schools and public libraries) will be the recipient of the North Carolina Children's Book Award!

Today was our BOB competition, and I am very proud of our students!  We placed 3rd out of 6 teams!  If you see our BOB students in the hallways this week, make sure to tell them congratulations and great job for all of their hard work! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DR. SEUSS!! 

Today we celebrated reading!  We had a wonderful parade this morning with LOTS of books characters!  We also had lots of fun games and prizes, and most importantly, the whole school gathered together to read for 20 minutes!! Today has been such a fun and wonderful day, and I am so thankful that each and everyone of our students has the opportunity to learn to read!
